Young Management students of IRMA get an opportunity to work with Amul, Jeevika, srijan, The Timbaktu Collective, Sahaj, Unicef, Vrutti, Tata etc. during their Summer Internship Programme. Out of 254 recruiter companies only 89 were selected. The process was filtered further with 56 recruiters who offered 141 projects.
Leading Corporate Giants participated in the internship programme like: Sanjeevan, Forest Department Gujarat, NSD, SFAC, Teri, Sir Ratan Tata Trust, Akar, Unicef, Vrutti, FES, IRRAD, Integrated Child Development Services, International Water Management Institute, Amul, National Commodity and Derivatives Exchange and the list goes on.
According to the statistics of the institute, students were placed in various sectors, for example: 27% in livelihood, 19% in Agriculture, 10% in Dairy and Information and Communication Technology, 9% in Energy, 7% in Finance and 6% in Health.
Students are placed with an average CTC of Rs. 29,800. The Highest CTC was offered by corporates at IRMA was Rs. 86,000.
There were 118 students out of which, 45% of students were freshers and only, 2% of the students had 5 yrs of experience in the domain. Students from the different educational backgrounds like; Engineering, BBA, Arts, Science and Agriculture etc. participated in the summer Internship Programme.
IRMA was established in the year 1979. Prof. (Mrs.) Jeemol Unni, is the present Director of the Institute that consists of 40 Core Faculties. It specializes in Rural Management and in pursuit of excellence, is increasing its branches by providing Management Development Programme to the students. IRMA targets rural enterprises for the internship and placement session. This is the only top B-School which provides Management Programmes in Rural Development.
