AIMA holds 35th NCYM: Innovate, Restructure, Reorganize: Challenges for India Inc

All Indian Management Association (AIMA) will organize the 35th National Competition for Young Managers (NCYM)from July 10 onwards in Mumbai, Kolkata, Chennai and New Delhi. The finale will take place on August 22 in New Delhi. The theme for this years NCYM is Innovate, Restructure, Reorganize: Challenges for India Inc.

While talking about the theme, AIMA said, In order to build and sustain competitive advantage, companies need to continuously innovate; un-learn; restructure; and improve their core and support processes. It is not just sufficient to manage current processes but go beyond the existing model and framework to question and reassess how value is created and delivered.
This year the NCYM will focus on organizing a flexible and dynamic culture for the evolving market needs, aspects of restructuring an organization for greater value creation, making innovation an integral part of the organization, continuously developing and enhancing internal capabilities and finally, managing the ongoing transformation.

In order to participate, a three member team of executives within 35 years of age should be formed. The team can either be from one organization or individuals independently from different organizations can form a team.
Organizations are also free to nominate as many teams as they wish, AIMA explains. The teams are required to submit the written presentation to the regional centers. Thereafter, two best teams will have to present themselves in the grand finale to be held at New Delhi.

The participants get the scope of presenting their innovative ideas, work in a team and thus learn from each other. The Champion teams paper will be a part of Background Paper of 36th National Convention 2009 (NMC) and they can also present a special paper during a special session of the same, adds AIMA.
