Started in the year 1948, AIESEC is organizing an event at the Delhi University from July 20, 2009. According to information shared by Pooja Menon, Vice-President, Communications and Information Management, AIESEC, Delhi University, The some of the ongoing and upcoming events of AIESEC are Recruitment 2009, Global Entrepreneurs Program, Empower and Breaking Free.
While stressing the key highlights of the events, Menon said, August Recruitment 2009 started early Monday and it will be held over a period of two months. She added that the event, being organized by AIESEC, will have an impact on the lives of over 5,000 college individuals in Delhi. She also informed MBAUniverse.com about the two-week Global Entrepreneurs Program that will be held parallel to the Recruitment 2009. Under this program, college students would get a chance to work abroad on a host of developmental issues ranging from entrepreneurship, business models on sustainability, development studies, human rights for ethnic groups, cultural education, HIV/AIDS and other such fields on which AIESEC and its partners are working on, shared Menon, and added that the event will influence lives of under-privileged children from other countries.
Empower known as Global Village with over 20 stalls from other countries will be one of the highlights of the event. The event will also see participation from international interns from over 20 countries who will share their AIESEC experience in spreading cultural diversity, Menon said.While sharing highlights of Breaking Free, which is a AIESEC development event, she said, Breaking Free is a University-based event on Substance Abuse. Eminent speakers will be sensitizing the youth about this issue at the event. Dr Kiran Bedi is likely to visit the event to inspire the youth.
