IIT Delhis business fest Parivartan discusses remedies to fight recession

The annual business fest Parivartan provided a platform for business prodigies to analyze, interpret and debate relevant issues of economic and social significance. The event was supported by a consortium of leading institutes and corporate across the country. Dr GVG Krishnamurthy, former Chief Election Commissioner of India, was the chief guest for the event.

The event also had the presence of Mr Satyan N Gupta, Chief Regulatory Advisor, BT Global Services, SAARC Region; Mr Kapil Dev Kumar, CEO, Smart Digvision Pvt Ltd; Commodore J Jena, Senior Director, Cellular operator Association of India; and Dr K V Damodaran, Joint Advisor TRAI. The speakers discussed the current status of telecom industry in India and the measures to be taken to deal with the global economic recession.

The Chief Guest at the event, Dr GVG Krishnamurthy - while addressing the students - highlighted the rich treasure of ancient Indian Management and benchmarked it against the Western management. He shared with students his experience of managing three general elections in the worlds largest democracy, and the concerns which he had in his mind.

Dr Krishnamurthy said, India has the best brains but lacks technology. I will summarize this thought with an equation IT+IT=IT, where the first IT stands for Indian talent, second one for International technology and the third for India of twenty first century.
