Mr. Anand G Mahindra, Vice Chairman & Managing Director, Mahindra & Mahindra Ltd., presented the Distinguished Alumnus Award 2008 to Mr. Sandeep Dhar, CEO, Tesco Hindustan Service Centre, Bangalore; and Mr. S Sriniwasan, CEO, Kotak Realty Funds.Mr. Sandeep Dhar completed his Post Graduate Diploma in Business Management from IMT Ghaziabad in 1988 and also attended an Advanced Management Program at Wharton Business School.Prior to Tesco, he was the Managing Director of Sapient Corporation in India.
He was responsible for delivery globally and managed over 4000 engineers and designers in the space of consulting and interactive Marketing. Before that he was the president of the $100 million BPO business at Mphasis-EDS, a business which he grew from 3000 to 10,000 people in the span of just over three years.
Mr. Dhar also spent several years with Citibank and ABN AMRO in India as well as internationally and did pioneering work in the field of Contact centres, E-commerce and M-commerce.Another alumnus felicitated on the occasion, Mr. S Sriniwasan holds a Bachelor in Commerce from Delhi University and is a Management Graduate from IMT Ghaziabad, batch of 1988.Mr. Sriniwasan joined Kotak Mahindra Group in January 1993. He was part of Kotaks investment banking joint venture with Goldman Sachs from inception in 1995 until 2005. In this period, Kotak Investment Banking won several awards for excellence in various fields by Finance Asia, Euromoney and Asiamoney. In 2005, he was counted amongst the top ten deal makers in India, by Business Today.He is currently the CEO of Kotak Realty Funds and a member of the Board of Kotak Investment Advisors Ltd.
