While talking to MBAUniverse.com regarding theappointment of new Director,IMT Ghaziabad, Dr. A.M Sherry, Dean IMT Centre for Distance Learning & Chairman of Joint Admission Committee,said, Dr.Anwar Ali will take over the charge of directors office from next month.
Dr. Ali did B.Tech and M.Tech in Metallurgical Engineering from IIT Kanpur in 1970 and 1972 respectively. Then he completed PG Diploma in Operations Management from IIM Kolkata in 1977, and Fellow in Operations Management in 1995 from the same institute.
He has more than 30 years experience in academics and industry. He started his career as an Assistant Engineer with Steel Authority of India Limited in Durgapur and worked from 1973 to 1975. Dr. Ali was appointed Manager (Materials) in SUMAC International Ltd. Lucknow in 1983 and worked for one year. He started his journey in academics in 1990 with Xavier Institute of Management, Bhubaneswar, as an Associate Professor and worked till 1993. Then he joined Goa Institute of Management in 1993 as Professor and worked for three years. His longest stay was with MDI Gurgaon where he taught Operations Management from 1996 to 2005. Dr. Ali was appointed Director, IMT Nagpur, in 2005.

Institute of Management Technology (IMT), Ghaziabad, is going to appoint Dr. Anwar Ali, who is currently serving as director at IMT Nagpur, as its new director very soon. Dr. Ali will take charge from Dr. Bidya S Sahay.
