XLRI, ICSI to organize conference on Companies Bill Act for effective corporate governance

While commenting on the motive behind the launch of the seminar, XLRI says, There seems to be an immense need for new laws to tackle the current corporate scenario by promoting and enabling Indian businesses to run in a more efficient manner. The tampering of financial statements at Satyam Computer Services demonstrates the need for new Bill ensuring corporate governance. The Companies Bill 2008 seeks to enable the corporate sector in India to operate in a regulatory environment of best international practices.The seminar will be inaugurated with the welcome address of chief guest for the event Mr. G K Pillai, Chairman & Managing Director of Heavy Engineering Corporation.
