IIM L duo offer MBA mantras to gen-next at Management Avenues

They were addressing in Dehradun on March 8, 2009 on the topic My MBA Experience & How MBA aspirants should plan to enter a top B-school.
While sharing his learning at Indias leading B-schools, Pankaj said, The management education has taught me structured thinking, teamwork, handling pressure and managing deadlines, and understanding the financial language.
Talking about the advantages in management education at a good B-school, Ankur said, At IIM Lucknow, we have best professors, best education, guest lectures from CEOs of leading companies, regular interaction for live projects and participation in competitions with top B-schools.

Pankaj highlighted the points on What you need to be successful in MBA entrance tests. He said, The essential things which students should acquire from the day one are basic maths, good verbal and communication skills, ability to work in a team, adaptability, prior work experience and networking skills. While suggesting the tips for Group Discussion and Personal interview (GD PI), Ankur said, To do well in the GD & PI, one should read newspaper daily, read one good business magazines, and read business books and reports. You should be very honest in interview. The interviewers are experts, so dont bluff!

Motivating the students to not give up, Ankur said: Dont stop if you would not able to clear your CAT in first few attempts. Take CAT again. I cracked CAT in my fourth attempt!
Pankaj Bhatt is the first year PGP at IIM L. He has done his engineering from National Institute of Technology, Surat. He has 4.5 years work experience in Kirloskar Brothers Ltd, Phillips and others.
Ankur Chakraborty is also studying in first year of PGP at IIM L. He has done his engineering from Motilal Lehru National Institute of Technology, Allahabad. He has 4 years work experience in Tata Motors and Maruti.
