MIT Review, CyberMedia to hold EmTech 09 to address innovations, economic growth

EmTech India 2009 will bring together world renowned innovators and leaders to discuss innovations destined to better peoples lives, create opportunities, and fuel economic growth. The conference will help participants to look at interplay of advancements in science with discoveries in medicine at one end and interplay of developments in chemistry and overall impact on green transportation at the other, says MIT Review.While disclosing the list of panel members at the conference and the theme, MIT Review says The conference will have plenary panels on Green Transportation, Green Architecture and Urban Planning, Future of Bandwidth and connectivity, Technology, Innovation and Entrepreneurship and India as an Innovation hub. As a sub theme, the conference will look at areas that have the potential of Touching A Billion LivesEducation. Anil K Gupta, Executive Vice Chairman of National Innovation Foundation and Fellow (NAAS), Fellow, The World Academy of Art and Science, California 2001, and IIM Ahmedabad faculty will be addressing a Fireside Chat session -Touching a Billion Lives: Bottom of Pyramid Technology. His co-panelists at the session will be Sanjay Swamy, CEO & Founder, mChek, Vikram Kumar, CEO, Dimagi & MIT Media Lab Associate, and Om Malik, CEO & Founder, GigaOM. Tarun Anand, CEO & Founder, The Perfect Future and architected of key products like Windows NT, COM+, and most recently the .NET Framework. will be addressing a session on Education & Inventing a Better Future. His co-panelists at the session will be Vinay Rai, Vice President, MITSAAA and Satish Jha, CEO, One laptop per Child, India.
