Amity School to organize ACT 09 to nurture potential of engineering students

The theme for this year event is Nurturing potential of young technocrats for a better tomorrow.According to ASET, the three-day event, including corporate sessions, aims at providing a platform for industry professionals, academicians and students to come together for stimulating discussions. In 2008, ACT saw participation of industry professionals across the country and students from several premier institutes in many competitions such as Robotics, Junkyard Wars, Quiz, Debate, Research paper and writing.While commenting on equipping students with skill sets and knowledge to sustain in the competitive corporate world, Amity School says, Todays dynamic and competitive world demands experience, technical skills and leadership traits to help future generations acclimatize in a highly charged competitive atmosphere of tomorrow. We firmly believe that this festival will be an opportunity to compete, learn and enjoy but above all, it will be an experience to remember. We, at Amity School of Engineering and Technology, constantly research across all segments and identify the icons and high performers for the Amity Leadership Awards in the field of technology and management.ASET further adds, Amity does not only provide the country technical geniuses but an overall developed individual who has equal interest in technical as well as cultural fields. Technical events like Gaming, Robotics, programming and Circuit Debugging are promoted here to give the students not just the theoretical knowledge but also practical experience to prepare them for what lies ahead in their careers. Amity is also planning to organize a new event never heard before, i.e. Stock Market Simulation based on the working of a stock exchange to create awareness among the students regarding the profit and loss of stocks involved. Cash prizes are kept to give the initial burst to the students to participate in such events. Remembering all those who sacrificed their lives for the nation and its people in 26/11 terror attack of Mumbai, ASET said, We are paying our tribute to the people lost their lives in the horrifying incident. We want to tell the world that no matter how much we fight among ourselves , we will always be together and ready to answer any one comes from outside to hurt us.While sharing the activities at the event, ASET said, Engineering colleges are always associated with studies but we follow the saying all work and no play makes Jack a dull boy. We have choreography, dramatics and the rock band competition ready for the event that will offer great prizes. Engineers are always said to be oily haired and big glasses type with no style sense. To prove this wrong we have our fashion show Defile de Mode showing the stylish side of our future engineers. Besides all these, we have DJ Suketu playing to make everyone groove to his beats and shake their legs in the DJ Night.
