Q- What is your percentile in CAT 08 and how does it feel getting call from prestigious IIMs!
My Percentile in CAT08 in 99.14 (SCORE 136/356) and it feels satisfactory and exciting to get a call from the prestigious IIMs and I am looking forward to it.I am happy that all the hard work has paid off.

Q- From which B-schools you received calls for GD/PI?
I have got calls from IIM Ahmedabad,IIM Bangalore,IIM Calcutta,IIM Indore,IIM Kozhikode and IIM Lucknow.

Q- In your view, what are the key factors that helped you in doing so well in CAT?
The key factors would be hard work, focus, determination and a cool mind at the examination.

Q- How did you prepare for CAT 08? What was your preparation strategy?
I started in June08 with Verbal and carried on till mid July08.Then I prepared for Quant for about two weeks. And finally I prepared for DI/Logic for a month. So by August08 end I was done with my preparations and had enough time for revision. I started with my weakest section and moved on to the one I was most comfortable with (DI/Logic). For all the sections I prepared from Prof. Arun Sharmas book. As I had devoted less time to Quant preparation I solved 5 sums everyday. I joined TIME Test Series and wrote about 17 mock CATs before attempting the actual one.

Q- Now, how are you preparing for Group Discussions and Personal Interviews?
For Group Discussions and Personal Interviews I have joined TIME as well as IMS. For Personal Interviews I am revising all the concepts I learned in the course of engineering.

Q- What do you think about the role of the coaching institutes for MBA test preparations?
Coaching Institutes play a very important role. The mock CATs are fruitful and provide an insight as to where you stand.

Q- For the aspirants who will take CAT in future, what would be your advice to crack CAT? What is the success key?
Start the preparation as early as possible and if possible as a group even of two people would do. Do not leave out any particular type of questions during your preparation. Do not try to predict the pattern of CAT examination. And finally believe in yourself YOU CAN DO IT!
