There are 120 seats in the MBA programme and the admission is through the GBUs entrance exam, to be held on April 5. There are 120 seats offered for the programme with specialization in Finance, Marketing, IT, Retail, Operations, Strategy, Insurance, etc.Candidates who have passed their graduation from a recognized university securing minimum 50% marks are eligible to apply for the MBA programme. The fee for the course is Rs 2,50,000 per academic session.The last date for the submission of application forms for all these programmes is March 05, 2009.The admission for programmes will be conducted through a written test -Graduate Proficiency Test (GPT) - at 5 centres across the country, followed by a personal interview. These centres will be based in Noida, Delhi, Lucknow, Ranchi and Bangalore. GBU, set up by the UP Government to promote value-based education and training, has established three schools to begin with: School of Management, School of Biotechnology, and School of Information & Communication Technology.According to the GBU, the School of Management - with specialisation in Finance, HR, Strategic, Marketing, Retail and Operation Management - plans to be an Integrated Management School. The University devotes adequate resources on creating new knowledge and influence practices, and with this view it commences the first batch of Doctoral degree programme from August 2009.
