According to the SNAP 08 analysis done by Indore based MBA test prep company PT Education, The paper pattern was slightly changed compared to the previous year. According to PT Education, The SNAP was an exam that tested both the speed and accuracy level of the student. An attempt of around 100+ marks with an accuracy of approximately 90% should see one getting a call for the next round from the two top institutes SIBM and SCMHRD.

SNAP 08 Section-wise analysis by PT Education:
Quantitative Ability: Moderately tough with 10 questions from DI, 24 questions from QA and only one question on DS. The QA questions were based on Sequence and Series, Time, Speed and Distance, Mensuration, Simple application of Trigonometry, inequality, Ratio and Proportion, Permutation and Combination, Statistics, Stocks and Shares, Numbers, Percentages, Partnerships, Clocks and Profit and Loss. There were four DI sets out of which the two sets was of only one questions, the third and fourth DI set were containing four questions each.
All in all, a student should have scored at least 20 marks from this section in 35 odd minutes.
General English: divided roughly between RC and EU, this section proved productive for those with a good command over vocabulary; they could attempt more number of questions in a relatively short span of time. Again, a score of 25+ would be called a good score in this section.
Analytical and Logical Reasoning: There were plenty of easy pickings for the students in this section. Questions were asked mainly from Coding-Decoding, Syllogism, Cubes related, Data Arrangement, Mixtures, Statement Assumption, Linear Arrangement and Ven Diagram areas. Some of the questions were innovative and tough, while other were direct and there was very little requirement of complex reasoning. A score between 30 and 40 (remember: each LR question carried 2 marks) was possible and can be considered as good.
General Awareness: The marks of this section are considered in the final total score, this section cannot and should not have been neglected. Questions asked were mainly from recent happenings in the world of Business, Politics, Sports and other national and international events. Those with a regular newspaper and magazine reading would have found many easy questions. This section again can prove to be the differentiator as those good with their GK could have scored easy marks in very little time indeed! A score of 20 can be called par for the course in this section.
