Pearl School of Business to host International Conference of Global Business and Management Forum, USA

The conference will be hosted jointly by PSB, GHS-IMR-Kanpur and GBMF, USA. The theme of the conference is Emerging Paradigms of Global Entrepreneurship and Management: Issues and Challenges.
Changes in markets, players, environment and processes have accentuated marked shift in businesses and their paradigms and models in the 21st century. Techniques, processes and strategies demand a quantum change to face the challenges of these paradigm shifts. Organizations and entrepreneurial characteristics have changed from local to a global outlook. Government roles have changed from regulatory to facilitating the businesses. Western markets have lost their dominance and new markets have emerged with potentially great strength. The conference aims to discuss and deliberate these emerging contexts in the overriding reality of sustaining growth and expectations of countries, organizations and people.

We need a different breed of entrepreneurs and managers to steer and lead organizations in the changed scenario. They need to have a global outlook with a sense of social responsibility, be highly creative and innovative, able to take risks and manage complexity and ambiguity, says Prof. I M Pandey, Director, Pearl School of Business.

As markets continue to grow, businesses and governments witness a surge in demand for more and better business information. And GBMF seeks to provide a forum for dialogue, collaborative teaching and research, and knowledge sharing among the academia, practitioners, and regulatory bodies throughout the world for the benefit of global business. It is indeed a global forum that will draw members throughout the world. The purpose is to encourage networking and knowledge sharing by inviting participation from all countries of the world academics, executives, researchers, and government leaders interested in business and management scholarship, education, and training, he added.

Papers presented at the conference will be considered for publication in a special issue of the Global Business and Management Journal, informs PSB.The GBMJ is an international refereed journal. The deadline for submitting papers for the conference is October 25, 2008.
