FMS Entrepreneurship Cell launches International Entrepreneurship Challenge 2008

The programme is open to not just B-school students but undergraduates, postgraduates, corporate and start ups across the world.

The challenge was launched on September 28, 2008 and will end on the 6th of December, 2008. The last date of submission of Executive Summaries is October 12, 2008. The shortlisted teams from Stage I will be part of a mentorship program lasting a month. Mentors assigned to the teams will guide and assist them in improving their Business Plans. The finalists will be shortlisted after the final submission of the Business Plan. Official website www.ecellfms.org has more details.
The final presentations for IEC 2008 will be made to a Board of Directors comprising Venture Capitalists, Academicians and eminent personalities from the industry at FMS, Delhi.

IEC intends to provide incubation opportunity to the participants with primary incubator nLeague Services Inc. The program called nAble (nLeague Assisted Business Leadership for Entrepreneurs) will provide participants an access to incubation facilities and start-up support to help them transform their business plans into successful enterprises. Moreover, the finalists of the challenge get an opportunity to receive seed funding of upto INR 1 Crore from Seed Advisors, Mumbai). IEC also intends to help all the teams that qualified for mentorship phase to pitch in front of the angels at the Indian Angel Network. The winners of IEC 08 take home a cash prize of INR 100,000 while the runners-Up get richer by Rs 50,000.

Says FMS E Cell, IEC08 is an initiative to encourage budding entrepreneurs, entrepreneurs in the creation, start-up and early-growth stages of business. The event envisions bringing together ideas and opportunities to foster the spirit of entrepreneurship in one and all. It aims to give a stronger reinforcement structure to individuals in their quest for unexplored zone of entrepreneurship.
