The lack of inadequate education, lack of employability and unemployment problem result in the mismatch of demand supply of manpower. Said Mr Sabharwal, There is a huge problem of demand-supply mismatch also. Due to shortage of skills and education, people are unable to fulfill the industry needs.
Today every industry wants curious, competent, talented, and educated workforce. People have to understand the needs of the industry and gain appropriate education to get the employment, added Mr Sabharwal.
The Public Private Partnerships are very important to produce appropriate manpower. Public and private enterprises have to be work together to produce right education, reduce the problem of employability and employment, commented Mr Sabharwal.
While responding a query by EmployabilityUniverse.com on how to remove the stigma attached with skills in India, Mr Sabharwal said, There is no such stigma, if skills development courses lead to job creation. If we look at MBA from IIMs or a Chartered Accountant profession, we can see that there is a value attached to the knowledge and skills gained. That is not true of students from ITIs or other vocational schools.
