Michigan B-school to hold seminar on Business Innovation with CK Prahalad

The seminar will be led by leading business guru Professor C.K. Prahalad, and Professor M.S. Krishnan, a leading technology expert. The focus of the seminar is on How to reinvent company processes and culture in order to sustain innovative solutions. The seminar will be held on July 11, 2008 in Bangalore. The keynote address will be delivered by Kiran Mazumdar Shaw, Chairman & Managing Director, Biocon.

The seminar will also have a live discussion on the latest bestseller, The New Age of Innovation co-authored by Prof C.K. Prahalad & Prof M.S. Krishnan. Speaking on innovation, Prof C.K. As is well known, C. K. Prahalad, 66, is the Paul and Ruth McCracken Distinguished University Professor at The Ross School of Business, University of Michigan. Mr. Prahalad is a internationally nationally recognized specialist in corporate strategy and the role of top management in large, diversified, multi-national corporations.

C. K. Prahalad is the author of a number of well known works in corporate strategy including The Core Competence of the Corporation (Harvard Business Review, May-June, 1990). He is also an author of the international bestsellers Competing for the Future(with Gary Hamel), 1994, The Future of Competition, (with Venkat Ramaswamy), 2004 and The Fortune at the Bottom of the Pyramid: Eradicating Poverty through Profits, Wharton School Publishing, 2004.

M. S. Krishnan is the Michael R. and Mary Kay Hallman Fellow & Professor of Business Information Technology; Chair of Business Information Technology at the University of Michigans Ross School of Business. He obtained his Ph.D. from Carnegie Mellon University in 1996.
