Tata Group appoints Chetan Tolia as director of Tata Management Training Center

Mr Chetan Tolias responsibilities as Director, TMTC will involve building the legacy of forty years and take TMTC to greater heights in Organisational learning, applied research, and group leadership programmes, says TMTC.
As Director, TMTC, Mr Chetan Tolia will report to Mr Satish Pradhan, Executive Vice-President, Group Human Resources.

An engineer from Indian Institute of Technology (IIT), Madras and Management graduate from Indian Institute of Management (IIM), Calcutta, Mr. Chetan Tolia was the Managing Director of Tata Bluescope Steel Limited, a 50-50 joint venture between BlueScope Steel, Australia and Tata Steel, India. Prior to Tata Bluescope Steel, Mr Tolia headed the Strategy and Planning function at Tata Steel from 2001- 2005. He headed the Pune Business Unit of Tata Ryerson Limited between 1997- 2001.

The Tata Management Training Centre (TMTC), Pune, was established under the aegis of the JRD Tata, Chairman, Tata Group. It began operations on January 6, 1966 with the objective to function as an educational institution facilitating the development of professional leaders contributing towards the economic development of the country. The Centre is today renowned as one of the foremost management training facilities in the country with prestigious national and international affiliations.

Over the years TMTC has organised programmes on almost every subject relevant to the development of corporate managers. TMTC is now organized into four key verticals Strategy & Innovation, Ethics & Finance, Organisation & Leadership, and Customers& Markets.
