Employability Matters: NIIT join hands with Genpact; launches NIIT Institute of Process Excellence

The institute will offer 4 months programs for the graduates and undergraduates who want to make career in IT industry. The first offering will be in Gurgaon from the month of September this year. There will be 50 intakes for this year.
The announcement was made during a press meet held on June 11 in New Delhi by Mr Promod Bhasin, Vice Chairman, NASSCOM and President & CEO, Genpact, Mr Rajendra S Panwar, Chairman, NIIT and Mr Vijay K Thadani, CEO, NIIT.
According to NIIT, NIIT Institute of Process Excellence is designed for students aspiring to build sustainable careers in the high growth business and technology services industry.

Mr Bhasin said, This is s significant milestone that we believ will benefit not only Genpact, but the entire business and technology services industry. Genpact and NIIT are committed to buiding a world class training organization that will focus on developing talent and increasing employability to meet the growing demand for a skilled workforce in the countries where we operate.

Taking about the programme offering, Mr Bhasin said, NIIT Institute of Process Excellence will offer very broad courses in the domain of business processes, language skills and business communication and additional programs in Finance, Accounting, Banking and Insurance.

While sharing the objective behind this initiative, said Mr Thadani, IT Industry is growing very fast. There is a need of 1.4 million people in this industry which is a very huge need. Today 400 million students graduating from Indian colleges who are not industry ready. There is a need of making these graduates employable which can bridge the gap of industry demand and supply of its employees.

NIIT Institute of Process Excellence will offer its training in 7 cities in India include Gurgaon, Hyderabad, Kolkata, Banglaore, Chennai, Mumbai and Pune this year and further followed in China and Philippines in the next year.
