IIM Indore to hold MDP on Effective Communication for Managers

This programme is designed for managers at all levels who would like to enhance their influence, both within their organizations and externally with other organizations, by sharpening their communication abilities.

Says IIM Indore, With the information revolution along with socioeconomic changes in the new millennium, effective communication skills have become critical to an executives personal and professional success. Success in communicating in the competitive business environment will depend not just on an effective style but on the ability to analyze, organize, and present essential information effectively.

Talking about the programme objective, IIM Indore says, The aim of this programme would be to understand as well as to internalize aspects of communication that can ensure increased productivity, quicker problem solving, stronger decision making, enhanced professional image, stronger business relationships, and steadier work flow.

The programme will cover areas like Fundamentals of Effective Communication, Communicating at work - internalizing communication skills of listening, speaking, reading and writing, Nonverbal Communication and Business Writing Strategies.

The programme director is Prof. M. Ashraf Rizvi. Prof Rizvi is an Associate Professor in General Management and Communication Area, teaching courses on business communication and Managerial Communication in the Institutes PGM and E-PGM and management development programs. He has more than eighteen years of experience in teaching, training and consulting.
