Dr A P J Abdul Kalam to preside over MICA Convocation

On the occasion, 13th Batch of Post Graduate Programme in Communications Management (PGPCM) will receive their diplomas and degrees.

An aerospace scientist, Dr Avul Pakir Jainulabdeen Abdul Kalam was also popularly known as the Peoples President and the Missile Man of India for his work and is considered a progressive mentor, innovator and visionary in India. He was the twelfth President of India serving from 2002 to 2007. Kalam has received honorary doctorates from as many as 30 universities. He has written several inspirational books, most notably his autobiography Wings of Fire, aimed at motivating Indian youth.

MICA was established in 1991, offers various courses in communication management like Post-graduate Programme Diploma in Management (Communications) (PGPCM) and Post Graduate Programme in Communications Management for Executives (PGPCMX). Though, this executive programme PGPCMX) was recently launched in January and will commence from March 2008. In addition to this MICA also offers Certificate Programme Post Graduate Certificate Programme in Retail Communications Crafting Creative Comm, Visual Merchandising.
