Minister Kamal Nath to deliver Convocation Address at IIFT on March 25

According to the information shared by IIFT with MBAUniverse.com, an MBA degree will be conferred upon 151 students of the MBA (International Business) 2006-08 batch from both the Delhi and Kolkata institutes at the convocation.

Mr. Kamal Nath is the Minister for Commerce and Industry with Cabinet Rank. He is a member of the Congress Party, which leads the United Progressive Alliance (UPA) government. He took over as the Union Minister of Commerce & Industry on May 24, 2004. His tenure as the Commerce & Industry Minister has witnessed major trade policy initiatives. For the first time, a comprehensive Foreign Trade Policy (2004-09) has been announced laying out a coherent roadmap with a twin focus on exports as well as employment.

The Indian Institute of Foreign Trade (IIFT) was set up in 1963 by the Government of India as an autonomous organization to help professionalise the countrys foreign trade management and increase exports by developing human resources; generating, analyzing and disseminating data; and conducting research. IIFT offers three part time courses in International business and export management which includes three-year MBA (International Business) (Evening), New Delhi; Executive Masters in International Business, New Delhi, Dubai and Dar-es-Salaam and Certificate Course in Export Management, New Delhi, Guwahati (Assam).
