The National final will be held in Mumbai on March 27, 2008. Twelve teams who have made it to finals include teams from several top B-schools including IIM-A, IIM-L, NMIMS, SP Jain and IMT Ghaziabad.
This year the Tata Crucible Campus Quiz was extended to 4 new cities- Lucknow, Indore, Kochi and Chandigarh in addition to the earlier 8 cities. Since its inception, participation in the Tata Crucible Campus Quiz has increased five times, from 388 teams in the first edition to approximately 2000 in the current edition of the quiz.
Sharing the highlights of the regional rounds of the quiz, the quizmaster Mr. Giri Balasubramaniam a.k.a. Pickbrain said, Tata Crucible is the undoubtedly the biggest quizzing battle on campuses and the participation received this year is an evidence of the same. Besides, the increased number of teams, the quiz has also raised the benchmarks in terms of the quality and standards of quizzing.
The Quiz commenced its regional rounds in the city of Hyderabad on February 3, 2008 and thereafter journeyed through to Ahmedabad, Mumbai, Lucknow, Kochi, Indore, Bangalore, Kolkata, Chandigarh, Delhi, Chennai to conclude the regional rounds in Pune on March 9, 2008.
Each regional winning team was awarded a cash prize of Rs. 60,000 and host of other exciting prizes. The runner-up teams were also given a cash prize of Rs. 30,000 and other prizes. The eventual national winner would profit by Rs. 2.6 lakhs while the total value of the prizes at stake is over Rs. 25 lakhs including additional prizes by Tata Motors, Tata Steel, Tata Asset Management, Tata Indicom and Ginger Hotels.

Tata Crucible - The Campus Quiz 2008, dubbed as Indias most challenging business quiz, witnessed a record participation of around 2000 teams in the 4th edition of the quiz.
