The Grand Finale will be held from March 9 - 13, 2008 when the regional champions will battle it out in the final in New Delhi.
The Grand Finale has been divided into three rounds, two of which will be competitive. In between, the national delegates will get an opportunity to participate in the Leadership Summit. The names of the winners will be announced at the Graduation Ceremony on March 13.
Career Launcher informs that the Grand Finale will kick off on March 9 with the Outbound Leg. The 49 national delegates will be taken for a 3-day trip to Rishikesh. Through a series of physical tests such as trekking, rappelling, rock climbing, and river rafting, the delegates will be assessed on their ability to handle physically challenging tasks. While all the previous round tested the delegates on their knowledge and presentation skills, the Outbound Leg will be the first test of their physical and mental fitness. The Outbound Leg will be a knock out round, from which only the top 24 delegates will make it to the last leg.
The Leadership Summit on March 12, 2008. This non-competitive round will give the national delegates a chance to interact with the leaders of today. The Leadership Summit is a series of panel discussions on public policy, education, sports and culture, media, social transformation, and the future of India. The Summit has been divided into 6 segments, each will feature leading thinkers like Lt. Gen. (Retd) SS Mehta, Director General of CII; Parth Shah, President of the Center for Civil Society; Madhukar Rao, co-founder, Parliamentary Research Service (PRS) an NGO; Jeroninio (Jerry) Almeida, founder and chief volunteer of iCONGO, and Suhasini Haider of CNN-IBN.
The last round of the Grand Finale will be held on March 13. The last leg of the Grand Finale will test the ideation and implementation skills of the top 24 delegates. Through a series of challenges, the national delegates will be tested on their creativity, presentation skills and the ability to strategize and think out of the box.
The winners of the Grand Finale, indeed the Tycoons of 2008 will be announced at a gala dinner on March 13.
The Graduation Ceremony will be an official culmination of this great leadership hunt, that has taken the Jaago India and Career Launcher team to 116 cities across India, and into 2000 colleges.
