As per the MOU, LG Electronics plans to cover 35 cities by end of 2009 which amounts to around 50 ITIs across these cities. Soft skill training by trainers will be given to improve behavioral competence of the students.
Speaking on the occasion Mr Ashok Kumar, Senior GM HR, LG Electronics said, We are very proud and honored for developing a long term association with one of the esteemed organization, This blending of academic curriculum with the practical industrial exposure extended by the industry in general and LG Electronics in particular, will definitely give the momentum for the technological development of our nation.
At this stage the company has already entered into agreements with the ITIs in the states like Maharashtra, Gujarat, Assam, Delhi, Andhra Pradesh and Karnataka. Following the league are Punjab, Chennai, Tamilnadu, UP & Rajasthan which are in the process of signing the agreement.
Mr. Santosh Das, Customer Service Head- LG India further added, The customer service field will brace sweeping changes and this tie up is surely a quantum leap in the direction to match the best in the world, We at LG will make sure that there is continuous skill evaluation and up gradation by LG Training Academy
