On the occasion, AIMA presented four prestigious awards including Dr Ram Taneja Award for Best Article in Indian Management; the JRD Tata Corporate Leadership Award; J S Juneja Award for Creativity & Innovation for Small & Medium Enterprises; Public Service Excellence Award and JRD Tata Corporate Leadership Award. Ms Roopa Purushothaman, Chief Economist & Strategist, Future Group, M/s Indian Herbs Research & Supply Co. Ltd, Dr Sam Pitroda and Mr Sunil Bharti Mittal received these awards respectively.
Mr Sushil Kumar Shinde, Honourable Union Minister of Power was the Chief Guest for the occasion.
The occasion had the theme Resurgent India - The Road Ahead, and was chaired by Dr Ram Tarneja, Past President, AIMA. Dr Sam Pitroda, Chairman, Knowledge Commmision delivered the keynote address on Technology & Management while Dr Bibek Debroy, Professor, International Management Institute spoke on the topic on Indian Economy: The Way Forward.
The Vote of Thanks was given by Mr S K Swamy, Sr Vice President of AIMA.
AIMA celebrates its Foundation Day every year on 21st February. AIMA completed its 50 years on February 21, 2007.
