Highlighting that it is indeed possible, leading thought-leaders from companies like GE India, Infosys and Tatas suggested the way forward, at the recently held Hero Mindmine Summit.
Setting the agenda for discussion, Mr. Alan Rosling, Executive Director, Tata Sons, pointed at major trends sweeping the business world. Said Mr Rosling, There are four major trends shaping the businesses globally: Freer economic system; Technology; people and talent crunch; rise of China and India.
Mr Rosling then highlighted the shape of successful MNCs of tomorrow. Tomorrows MNCs will be customer focused; geography agnostic; innovative; dis-aggregated; networked and Responsive to all shareholder, he said.
Speaking on the occasion, Mr. Nandan Nilekani, Co- Chairman, Infosys, said, IT industry has shown to other Indian businesses that our companies can be global in scale andreputation. We need more businessesto go global. He asserted that good Indian companies can re-invent themselves, like Tatas have done, and contest globally.
Speaking on the occasion Mr. Tejpreet S. Chopra, President & CEO, G E India, Sri Lanka & Bangladesh, gave his mantra for winning companies. He said, We need to invest in leadership and growth process. Clear, simple strategy and a business model, protection of people and resources, localization and execution, Create right culture, Creatively and teamwork. Its all about the great people.
