The online round of this five-stage pan-India event came to an end on January 28. The online-round received huge participation from various sections of the country.Sharing details about Tycoon participation, Career Launcher says, Thousands participated in the online round of Tycoons 2008 which was thrown open on January 9, 2008. Amongst these, 119 candidates have qualified for the city finals. The online wild card winners will face-off against the chosen ones amongst the two lakh participants who competed in the college rounds.
The qualifiers from the online round were selected on the basis of an aptitude test and an essay writing competition. The aptitude test had a total of 50 questions based on General Awareness, Business Awareness and Logical Reasoning. While two participants had a perfect score of 200, there were many who missed it by a whisker.
The City Finals will begin from 2nd February across more than 80 cities. On 10th February, qualifiers for the Regional Finals will be announced. Maximum two finalists will be selected from each city.
The event programme is divided into five rounds, with elimination at each stage, informs Career Launcher. The winners will get a full paid scholarship to any higher education course in India, an edu-pilgrimage to a foreign university, a chance to meet the bigwigs of the industry from sports, business and cinema, cash prizes and more.
