Edutainment event Tycoons gathers momentum

According to leading education domain companies Career Launcher, which had kicked off its ambitious edutainment event Tycoons on January 10, more than 5,000 youth have registered for the contest on Tycoons website. Whats more, Tycoons have also signed on Reebok as a Lifestyle Partner.

Informs Career Launcher, As on January 18, we have more than 5,000 registrations on Tycoons website and more than 6,000 tests have been taken by the users. In all, there have been more that more than 20,000 visitors on the website.

Responses are also coming via the SMS route. Career Launcher informed that 1400 SMSes showing interest in registering for tycoons received till now.

The event plans to rope in participants across the country and crown a Tycoon at the end of five rounds of grueling competitions. The final of the multi city event will be held on February 18-20.

The event programme is divided into five rounds, with elimination at each stage, informs Career Launcher. The first one, the College Round would be held across 2000 colleges in 100 cities. Top two participants will be selected from each college on the basis of their performance in the Aptitude Test on general and business awareness. There is an online round as well, comprising an Aptitude test and writing an essay.

The City Finals, which will have an extempore, and a business quiz will follow the College Round. Top two finalists from each city will move on to the Regional Finals. In this round the candidates will be judged on the basis of a debate and micro presentation on various topics.

According to Career Launcher, 60 aspirants will be selected for the grand finale. They will be judged on ad making, press conference, case studies etc. 16 top candidates from this round will qualify for the final round where the winner will be crowned the first Tycoon of India.

The winner gets a full paid scholarship to any higher education course in India, an edu-pilgrimage to a foreign university, a chance to meet the bigwigs of the industry from sports, business and cinema, cash prizes and more.
