NITIE launches campus magazine Verve

The magazine titled Verve was released by eminent author and journalist Mrs. Nandita Puri.

Verve is the first initiative of Team Rendezvous. Under the guidance of Dr. Subhash D. Awale Director, NITIE & Chief Patron, Team Rendezvous, Dr. R. Premkumar Registrar, NITIE & Patron, Team Rendezvous and a team of facilitators comprising of Prof. Vivekanand B. Khanapuri, Prof. Sanjeev Verma, Prof. Purnima Sangle and Prof. Sachin Kamble, a student team of 12 members, conceptualized and led by Mr. Shadab Siddiqui of PGDIE -36 Batch, and comprising of members from all PG programs at NITIE, has spearheaded this initiative.

Speaking to the gathering, chief guest Mrs. Nandita Puri, who has recently authored a book titled Nine on Nine, said that the key requirements for sustaining such an effort were simplicity of expression, self- imposed discipline and a burning passion to achieve your objective. She encouraged the students to overcome their inhibitions and actively participate in such activities. Her offer to personally provide guidance to the Team really boosted their spirits.

Dr. Subhash D. Awale, Director, NITIE-Mumbai, lauded the teams efforts and expounded on the various dimensions of creative self expression. He stressed on the need for students to develop their creative faculties and hone their extra managerial skills.

Both Convener Team Rendezvous, Prof. Vivekanand B. Khanapuri, and Co-Convener Team Rendezvous, Prof. Sanjeev Verma stressed on the need for the NITIE fraternity and also youth from other campuses to actively participate in this activity to make it a success. The team plans to hold art exhibitions and competitions too.
