The first in the series of Meets was held at Mumbai on 21 November 2007 at NMIMS University Campus.
The meet was attended by management professionals from academia, corporate, rating agencies etc. The meet was inaugrated by Mr Kewal Handa, President AIMA and addressed by Prof N M Kondap, Vice Chancellor, NMIMS University.
AIMA has been undertaking this annual exercise since year 2000. Says AIMA, Many ratings in the recent past, mostly by various publications, have been coming up annually. The multiple ratings very often confuse the various stakeholders, as the methodologies being adopted differ and hence the rankings do differ significantly from rating to rating. It is in this context that AIMA has taken the initiative of having a dialogue with the various stakeholders through Interaction Meets being organised across the country at various cities.
At the Mumbai meet, there were group deliberations on the parameters to be considered in the rating process. The sub-parameters were also suggested by the participants.
The outcome of the meet has been found to be extremely useful. The inputs received will be considered by the review committee for refining the rating system in order to ensure continuous improvement, informs AIMA.
