Delivering his welcome address, Sanjiv Goenka said, The India of today is reformed, rejuvenated and resurgent. A dramatic transformation has taken place in the past 15 years. The transformation has been fast and fundamental.
Addressing the Summit theme, Subir Raha said, To manage in new India, we have to manage rapid change, manage our industries globally, and manage the hope that India carries. Indias tryst with destiny is today.
Convention Co-chairman MD and Tata Steel MD B Muthuraman, while delivering his address said, Globalization is a multi faceted concept. While there are some countries that are very international in their orientation, other are purely domestic focused. India falls somewhere in the middle. Since liberalization of early 90s, we have made an impressive march on becoming global. But we need to understand the impact of globalization more carefully.
At the inaugural ceremony, AIMA facilitated Sanjiv Goenka, Vice Chairman, RPG Enterprises; B Muthuraman, MD, Tata Steel and Willem Brocker, Sr Global Advisor, PWC International, with Honorary Fellowship of AIMA.
Day 2 of the Convention will see addresses by Union Minister for Civil Aviation Mr. Praful Patel, Willem Brocker, Sr Global Advisor, PWC International, Mr Sampath Kumar Moorthy, President, Sundaram Fasteners and Dr JJ Irani, Director Tata Sons.
