Giving more details of this transformation, Mr Goenka said, The economy has opened up. The pace of growth of the economy is amongst the highest in the world. The content of GDP has also changed. Most importantly, people are infused with confidence. We see the emergence of the Global Indian Player.
Mr Genka pointed at lack of adequate infrastructure as a threat in Indias march. He said, There is a gap between demand and supply, whether in power, roads, airports, ports. We need to move more aggressively on this front.
Mr Goenka ended his talk on a positive note. He said, India is the flavor of the world and we must capitalize upon this. New India is international, is global, it is efficient, it is competitive, it is emerging as a leader.
