The MoU heralds an era of collaboration in the area of training and development and research (R&D). Said Dr Seema Sanghi, Director, Fore School of Management, The provisions of the MoU include exchange and collaboration between CSIR & FORE for management of technology and R&D through training and research. Through this collaboration the two organizations have joined hands to synergies their skills and competencies aimed at enhancing effectiveness and efficiency for the benefit of society at large. She also expressed the commitment of FORE towards conducting research, holding seminars and conferences and developing case studies in collaboration with CSIR, apart from conducting management development programs for the scientific and administrative executives of CSIR.
Speaking on the occasion Dr Naresh Kumar, Head, R&D Planning & Business Development & Human Resource Development Centre, CSIR, complimented the outcome and expressed his belief that cooperation between CSIR & FORE will extend to other areas of academic and scientific development as well.
Mr S N Sharma, Consultant, Human Resource Development Centre, CSIR, talked about the background and the scope of the MOU.
Dr Bhojwani, Advisor to the Union Minister of Science & Technology and Earth Sciences, emphasized the need of evolving the subject of Management of R&D in the Indian context.
Dr Sanghi called it a historic day. She said that close co-operation with CSIR can contribute a lot towards the development of knowledge and contribute to skills development in the management of R&D.
Established in 1981, FORE School of management is a non-profit institution. It offers two-year full time and three-year part-time postgraduate diplomas in business management (PGDBM).
The Council of Scientific & Industrial Research (CSIR), the premier industrial R&D organization in India, was constituted in 1942. CSIR aims to provide industrial competitiveness, social welfare, strong S&T base for strategic sectors and advancement of fundamental knowledge. Today CSIR is recognised as one of the worlds largest publicly funded R&D organisations having linkages to academia, R&D organisations and industry.

The Foundation for Organizational Research and Education (FORE) School of Management, Delhi, signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) with the Council of Scientific and Industrial Research (CSIR) on July 30.
