The convention will be organized in association with Calcutta Management Association between 6 and 8 September in Kolkata. This annual convention is the flagship event of AIMA, which is specifically designed for CEOs, executives, academics and management students from across the country. It seeks to generate a debate, and through this provide an international forum for the management community to discuss and recommend policy options in specific areas of management. According to AIMA, The convention aims to provide a new dimension on the perception of new India in the Asia-Pacific region both in terms of strengths and opportunities. This podium will explore how other countries in the region can share this growth model.
To address the issue of national importance AIMA has invited leaders accountable for the growth of country -- i.e., both political and corporate leaders. The political speakers include Union Minister for External Affairs, Shri Pranab Mukherjee; Minister from Hong Kong; Shri Praful Patel,Union Minister for Civil Aviation; and Mr B J Panda, Member of Parliament. There will also be chief ministers from states like West Bengal, Rajasthan, Assam, Bihar and Orissa.

There will be seven different sessions; the first session will be the Chief Ministers Conclave; other will include discussions on issues like Emerging Leadership, The Indian MNCs, India and the Asia Pacific Region, Striving for Inclusive Growth, Challenges of change, Connecting Across Generations and Seventy Million Employable Indians: Strategies for Global Competitiveness. All these issues will be part of the Managing India theme.
