FMS Delhi and IBM to hold workshop on Integrated Services Supply Chain

Workshop will be addressed by speakers from IBM including Mr. Mark Henderson, Program Director, Workforce Optimization, IBM Integrated Supply Chain and Mr. Priyadarshan Deshmukh, Asia Pacific Sourcing Manager, Technology, IBM Integrated Supply Chain.

The workshop would be of particular interest for students who express a keen interest in Operations area and wish to pursue a long-term career option in this fast emerging domain. Says FMS, This workshop is to provide an overview of Services Supply Chain supplemented by adequate examples from SCM in the Services Industry. The workshop would also incorporate a discussion on the business value of a services supply chain.

Speakers will discuss different strategies, principle and ways to supply the product/services and how to market knowledge and skills. According to FMS, The workshop is to develop a basic understanding and awareness of how to market your skills and knowledge in Supply Chain management across multiple service-based industries and how, supply chain principles and processes are critical to supporting and delivering services.

Speaker Mark A. Henderson joined IBM in 1978 in manufacturing operations in the Technology Division where he held a variety of management positions including; manufacturing operations, production scheduling and inventory management, business planning, materials logistics management. The majority of his career has been in supply chain management, designing, developing and deploying methods, processes and tools at the site, business unit and enterprise level.
