IBSAT, acronym for ICFAI Business School Aptitude Test, is conducted for IBSs two-year MBA program at all campuses and the one-year Executive Post Graduate Program in Hyderabad. The test will be conducted at 109 test centres at cities like Hyderabad, Ahmedabad, Bangalore, Mumbai, New Delhi, Chandigarh etc. Interestingly, SNAP -- the entrance exam for Symbiosis Group of Institutions -- will also be held on December 16 but it will start at 2.00 pm.
The last date for the receipt of the completed Application Form is November 20, 2007.
The pattern of IBSAT is designed on the lines of GMAT. According to IBS, IBSAT has a multiple-choice questions format and consists of quantitative techniques, data adequacy, vocabulary, writing skills, analytical reasoning and reading comprehension. Students appearing for GMAT can also apply with GMAT scores to IBS. According to IBS, the selection process will comprise of performance in IBSAT or GMAT 2007 score and an interview.
Alongside this announcement, IBS has also announced the dates for interviews and commencement of classes for its MBA and Executive PG Program. The interview and admissions are scheduled between 4-18 February 2007 and regular classes for MBA and Executive PG Program will commence from June 2 and May 1, 2008 respectively.
Graduates with 50% marks from any discipline are eligible for the MBA Program and the Executive PG Program. Candidates should be more than 25 years with at least three years of work experience.
IBS says they will also conduct a Selection Briefings at 40 cities in January 2008. Says the IBSAT website: IBS conducts the selection briefings for the benefit of those students, who are invited to attend the interviews, at 40 cities across the country during January 2008, to clarify various aspects relating to the interview process, financial aid and placements at IBS. All short-listed applicants are invited to attend these selection briefings along with their parents.
