The program introduced the batch to the culture and traditions of IMT. On the occasion, IMT alumni Former President and Chief Executive, Reliance Retail (Durables) and Founder and CEO of consulting firm Milagrow Rajeev Karwal addressed the new batch and shared their experiences. Another IMT alumniArshi Garg also spoke on the occasion.
During the inaugural address, Dr B S Sahay, Director, IMT, urged the new batch to put in their best. Emphasizing on thinking big, he said, It is important for all individuals to dream big, think big and do big. He also highlighted the strengths of IMT: its highly qualified and experienced faculty, its academic rigor, and the quality of its research.
Dr D P Goyal, Dean of Academics at IMT, got the new batch familiarized with the rigorous academic inputs during the program and introduced the faculty members and staff to them. In his talk, he stressed on the discipline and transparency of systems at IMT and also gave details about the range of exchange programs and other opportunities available.
Continuing its renewed focus on innovation, fresh outlook and high standards, IMT has designed and spread its orientation program over 5 days; the sessions include introduction to all areas and programs as well as facilities and activities. It also includes an outbound program that gets students out on the lawns of the campus, doing simulated river rope crossing and other team-building games.
IMT Ghaziabad says the orientation program is uniquely designed to serve multiple objectives of helping the new batch to orient themselves physically, intellectually and emotionally into their new environment.
