BIMTECHs Business Academic Leadership Orientation Program

To 340 budding managers of the Greater Noida-based Birla Institute of Management and Technology (BIMTECHs) 20th batch during its Business Academic Leadership Orientation program on June 14.

Dr Pritam Singh advised students to pursue excellence. You need to decide whether your journey is just to become a general manager or become a leader like Krishna and Gandhi by following excellence, he said.

Dr Y V Verma talked about the changing corporate scenario and the challenges that students face in the corporate world: Corporate career is full of challenges and it is continuous excellence with which students can perform and survive. With this, they need innovative minds... But it is not possible without missionary zeal and commitment. The role of managers is not static, it keeps on changing. They need intuitive power in decision-making.

Dr Harivansh Chaturvedi, director, BIMTECH, welcomed the students of different programs and said, Todays leaders are the builders of a vibrant and prosperous modern India who will build Indias future. Dr Pritam Singh added, Youth constitute 67% of our population and I have full faith in them they will make a much better future for the country and make a difference.

Emphasizing on the importance of purpose,Dr Pritam Singhsaid, Leaders create the purpose. You must ask yourself what your purpose of life is. If you are clear about the purpose, you are clear about the goal and if you clear about the goal you are clear about the path and if you are clear about the path you are clear about the action and when you are clear about action you are clear about achievement.

Also present on the occasion was R N Jaju, chairman of BIMTECH. Students need to engage in research which can create and deepen new seeds of knowledge and information in them, he said.

Talking about BIMTECHs mission, Dr Chaturvedi said, Our mission is to pursuit excellence and value-based ethical conduct. BIMTECH has achieved an international recognition and has been producing quality programs for a long time. We stand for global competition.

Established in 1988, BIMTECH offers four full-time and two one year courses. This year the institute has increased 30 more seats for its two-year full time Post Graduate Diploma in Retailing and Merchandising Management (PGDRMM) with AICTEs approval. The batch size in this program is 90 students. The batch size of other programs is the same as last year: 120 students in the two-year full time Post Graduate Diploma in Management (PGDBM), 60 in the two year full time Post Graduate Diploma in Insurance Business Management and 60 in the two year full time Post Graduate Diploma in International Business (PGDIB).

Besides these, BIMTECHs one year programs includes the Post Graduate Diploma in Retailing and Merchandising for Executives (PGDRMX) and the Post Graduate Diploma Program in Insurance and Risk.
