According to ISB, The learning process is geared to broaden the sum perspective of enterprise and equip managers with tools and insights -- all vital to lead and manage business in a rapidly changing and competitive environment.
The participants of the program will be senior managers, with around 10 years experience, who are in senior positions in a functional area but need a broader firm-wide and multi-functional perspective.The program boasts of faculty from the worlds top business schools: Atul Nerkar from the University of North Carolina, Suren Mansingka from University of California, Prabha Sinha (visiting faculty) from Kellogg, Don Sexton from Columbia and Ananth Iyyer from Purdue. The guest speaker for the event is J J Irani, director, Tata Sons Limited. According to ISB, The course is designed to enable participants to identify key strategic issues in their respective organizations, create and deliver customer value, and craft more effective managerial processes in general.
It also critically examines leadership and organizational dynamics and will help one understand how to integrate across functions.The teaching method is an integration of case studies, faculty-led sessions, guest lectures, business stimulation exercises, etc. A module like Analysing Firm Performance helps one understand how financial decisions affect the firms value, while a module like Creating and Delivering Customer Value - which encompasses both marketing and operations strategy -- helps understand customers.
