AIMA ready with new summer plans for professionals

Dr Kamal Singh, Director CMD, AIMA said, Through these activities we are tying to build competencies amongst professionals of India by the enhancing their competitiveness.

Every year, AIMA conducts various activities in different parts of India. This time, it will conduct the 16th National Competition for Business Management Simulations (from May 15 to 4 June), the National Conference on Research Paper Presentation (May 22), the National Management Forum (May 25), the National HRM summit on Performance-related Awards on May 25-26, a workshop on relationship related strategies (from June 15 to 29), a national competition for students (July 3 to August 3) and a national competition for young managers (July-August).

According to AIMA, Competition has been the key factor in AIMAs thinking to attain excellence.For instance, AIMAs National Competition for Business Management Simulations (to be held in Bhubaneshwar, Bangalore, Mumbai and Delhi between May 15 and 4 June) is based on the philosophy of learning by doing.In this competition, participants face the pains and gains of running a company, and are confronted with business issues such as how to develop a strategy, execute tactics, analyze competitors, and see the business effect of such decisions.

The national conference on research paper presentation on May 22 is to provide a platform to academicians, budding research scholars, PhD students and students of various B-Schools/Universities/Institutes to showcase their research in the field of marketing and develop an aptitude for writing technical papers. It will be helpful for networking with various sectors and academic institutions for better education and knowledge flow.

Interested academicians need to submit papers on themes like Rural Marketing, Financial Marketing, Retailing Marketing, Pharma Marketing, Consumer Behavior, FMCG Marketing, Service Marketing (BPOs, KPOs, EPOs etc), NGO Marketing, Marketing of PSOs, and Marketing of Joint Projects.

AIMAs 17th National Management Forum (NMF) to be held in Chennai on May 25 will deal with innovations to overcome infrastructure bottlenecks. NMF is a platform to captains of industry, CEOs, top managers, consultants, bureaucrats and academicians to share their experience and insights.

The 4th National Competition for Students on the theme Seventy Million Employable Indians: Strategies for Global Competitiveness will be held on May 25-26 in Kolkata, Coimbatore, Mumbai and New Delhi. Here students have to submit their written presentations.

Further on the same theme Seventy Million Employable Indians: Strategies for Global Competitiveness AIMA has been conducting the National Competition for Young Managers (NCYM). AIMA is conducting NCYM for the last 33 years to promote the excellence in Young Managers. One has to participate at regional levels before qualifying for the finals at the national level.

The competition provides a platform for young managers to exhibit their talent, leadership skills, knowledge, experience, professional prowess and creativity in preparing them to become Leaders of Tomorrow and thereby win recognition of excellence.
