Memoranda of Understanding (MoUs) have been signed with the Burgundy School of Business (France), Paris Graduate School of Management (France), FH Kufsten Tirol University of Applied Sciences (Austria), Normandy Business School (France), FH-Offenburg University (Germany), Euromed Marseille Ecole de Management (France) and National Taiwan University (Taiwan).
Speaking to MBAUnivese.com, Prof. Pankaj Gupta, chairman, international relations, IMT says, The unique thing about these tie-ups is that we have signed 9 MoUs in 10 days. Two are pending because of absence of officials Before going for full-fledged tie-ups, we first test our partner for one year We consider Financial Times rankings for considering top 30 international business schools These collaborations cover the exchange of qualified graduate students, exchange of faculty for joint teaching and research, promotion of collaborative research in areas of mutual interest, organization of joint international conferences/seminars, symposia and workshops. Along with this, there will be development of other programs through mutual agreement.
With these new collaborations, IMT now has 18 international tie-ups. Prior to this, IMT had tie-ups with 11 other international institutes.
Earlier, tie-ups included ones with University of Wisconsin (the US), University of Florida, (the US), Chonnam National University (South Korea), Grenoable Ecole de Management (France), IESEG School of Management (France), University of Nebraska (the US), Negocia Business School (France), University of Newcastle (Australia), Reims Management School (France) and HEC Montreal (Canada).
According to IMT, the tie-ups will enhance the development of joint educational and research projects between the institutes. In addition, they will enrich the educational development of both universities and provide both societies with more and better information about the country.Said Prof Gupta, These collaborations are beneficial for both students and faculty of both sides in terms of cross cultural integration and learnings in different business environments.
