The one-day program, Making Magic of Teaching, will be conducted by two experienced faculty members: Dr Sharad Sarin, Professor of Marketing at XLRI, Jamshedpur, and Dr Mukesh Chaturvedi, Professor of Marketing at BIMTECH.
The program will help participants understand various teaching styles. Speaking to MBAUniverse.com, Dr Harivansh Chaturvedi, director, BIMTECH said, The program is aimed to provide best practices in pedagogy of management to the young faculty of B-schools based in the northern region.
The program will focus on two teaching aspects: the Case Study Method and the Lecture Method, and will dwell on the appreciation of effective use of teaching methods. Said Dr Chaturvedi, In management education, case methods are very popular in the world. But in India, we have mix of both lecture and case methods. Through this program, the faculty members will share the best practices.
Commenting on the response to the program, he said, We are getting very encouraging responses from different parts of the country. About 50 faculty members will participate in the program, and they will mainly be from B-schools in the northern region.
