Admissions Trends: ISB Hyderabad records healthy enrolments for 2007-08 batch

A total of 425 students were admitted this year, as against 416 candidates last year. The number of student applications increased by a substantial 32 per cent this year when compared with last year. According to ISB, the average work experience for the current batch is 5 years. The academic session for the current batch was kicked off earlier this month.

ISB has also admitted a much larger number of international candidates this year. This year a total of 23 international students were admitted, compared to just 5 students last year. This presence of international students is expected to give a boost to ISBs growing image as an internationally recognized Business school. ISB has undertaken marketing and promotions exercises in United States and Europe to promote the school.

ISB has also tried to achieve a very balanced enrolment of engineering and non-engineering students this year. The percentage of engineers stood at 58 per cent.

The percentage of women students at ISB has also increased - from 20% last year to 25% this year.

Amongst the students at ISB this year are three candidates who represented civil services and 5 entrepreneurs.
