IIM-As Public Policy and Executive Management Program to commence in April

According to IIM-A, the PGP-PMP is a full-time residential program for mid-career executives with at least 7 years of work experience. The program leads to a Postgraduate Diploma in Public Management and Policy. The method of study for the PGP-PMP will be based on interactive lecture discussions, syndicate presentations, management games and exercises. Besides the institute faculty, guest faculty and practitioners will take some contact sessions. The course covers three modules: a core management (CM) module, a core public management and policy (CPMP) module, and electives leading to concentration in a number of areas. The program will share the core management module with IIM-As one-year Postgraduate Program in Management for Executives (PGPX) of IIM- A.

The second edition of PGPX II programme (that will commence on 1st April) will end on 14th March 2008, and will be spread over five terms. Its a full-time residential program for executives with substantial work experience that has a general management focus -- leading to a Postgraduate Diploma in Management for Executives. A five-week international project called International Immersion is one of the core components of PGPX.

Meanwhile, IIM-A has also announced the opening up of the admissions process for the third batch of PGPX that will close on 10th August.
