The tie-up is aimed at promoting cross-cultural learning and international cooperation. The exchange of ideas and views on political, social, economic and legal issues would help the participants.

AIT is one of the premier autonomous international institutions which provide advanced education in engineering, science, planning and management. The School Of Management -- in the outskirts of Bangkok -- was founded in 1987, and has on its board eminent Indians like Mr. Narayana Murthy of Infosys, Mr. Mahesh B Lal of Hindustan Petroleum Corporation Limited, Prof. I M Pandey who is the Dean.

For XLRI, this partnership comes after successful tie-ups with many other institutes like AIM (Philippines), UAMS (Belgium), EM Lyon (France), Malardalen University (Sweden), RMIT University (Australia) and Loyola School of Business, Chicago (US).
