According to XIMBs placement data that was shared with MBAUniverse.com, There was 100% placement of the PGDBM batch 2007 of XIMB, comprising 118 students they all got placed on Day 1. Along with this, there was a 50% increase in the number of offers.
In all, 309 job offers were made, of which 143 were lateral offers. Sector-wise, IT/ITeS companies gave the highest number of offers: 75, which was 40% of the total number.
Xuberance 07 (XIMBs Placement report) further reports that during recruitment most of the students expressed their willingness to work in the IT sector because of the varied profiles offered. The highest salary offered in the IT sector was Rs. 11 lakh while the lowest was Rs.5.6 lakh. Overall, the highest package -- of Rs 12.75 lakh -- came from the banking and finance sector.
The top five recruiters this year included JP Morgan Chase, Cognizant, TCS Kotak Bank and Idea Cellular, while the new recruiters included HLL, Dell International, Deloitte Consulting, UBS, HSBC Global Resourcing, Cognizant Technologies Solutions, Idea and several others.
