Nandan Nilekani was appointed chief executive officer of Infosys in March 2002. Prior to assuming his current position, he held the post of managing director, president and chief operating officer (COO) in the company. He is one of the co-founders of Infosys and has served as a director on the companys board since its inception in 1981. Mr Nilekani is the recipient of several awards including the IIT Bombays Distinguished Alumnus award in 1999. In addition, he, along with Infosys chairman Mr. N. R. Narayana Murthy, was adjudged Fortune magazines Asias Businessmen of the Year 2003.
Established in 1973, MDI offers a postgraduate program in management, a national management program, an executive management program, a postgraduate program in human resource management and a postgraduate program in international management.
