To register for XAT 2026, candidates should meet the XAT Eligibility Criteria, which includes having a bachelor's degree of at least three years in any discipline from a recognized university. Final year graduation students can also apply for XAT exam. There's no specific age limit.

Required Documents for XAT Registration 2026
a) Personal Details:

• Email ID and mobile number.
• Date of Birth proof and Aadhaar card.
• Address proof.
• Category certificate (if applicable).

b) Academic Records:

• Class 10 mark sheet.
• Class 12 mark sheet.
• Graduation mark sheet.

c) Scanned Documents:

• Scanned digital photograph (20-50 KB).
• Scanned signature (20-50 KB).

d) Online Payment Method:

• UPI/Debit Card/Credit Card for fee payment

a) Photograph, as per specifications 

• Photograph must be a recent passport size colour picture.
• The picture should be in colour, against a light-coloured, preferably white, background.
• Look straight at the camera with a relaxed face.
• If the picture is taken on a sunny day, have the sun behind you, or place yourself in the shade, so that you are not squinting and there are no harsh shadows.
• If you have to use flash, ensure there's no "red-eye".
• If you wear glasses make sure that there are no reflections and your eyes can be clearly seen.
• Caps, hats and dark glasses are not acceptable. Religious headwear is allowed but it must not cover your face.
• Dimensions 200 x 230 pixels (preferred).
• Size of file should be between 20KB-50KB.
• Ensure that the size of the scanned image is not more than 50KB. 

b) Signature Image, as per specifications

• The applicant has to sign on white paper with Black Ink pen.
• The signature must be signed only by the applicant and not by any other person.
• The Signature will be used to put on the ADMIT CARD and wherever necessary.
• The Applicant’s signature obtained on the ADMIT CARD and attendance sheet at the time of the examination should match the uploaded signature. In case of mismatch, the candidate may be disqualified.
• Dimensions 140 x 60 pixels (preferred).
• Size of file should be between 10KB —20KB.
• Ensure that the size of the scanned image is not more than 20KB.

c) Your Academic and Work Experience Documents

XAT registration 2026 fees is Rs. 2,200. This is also the XAT Application Form Fees. You have to pay this XAT exam fees online during the XAT registration 2026 process as described above. Note that XLRI PGDM program application fee is not included in exam registration fee and the candidates have to apply for admission to XLRI programme by paying additional fee of Rs. 200 per XLRI program while completing the exam registration form.

XAT registration process can be completed on XAT official website. XAT Application Form 2026 filling takes about one hour to complete. You can complete your XAT 2026 registration by following these simple steps. 

Step 1. Visit XAT Official Website 
XAT official website is xatonline.in. XAT registration 2026 can be completed only on this website. This website has XAT registration form for filling complete details. You can also upload all documents required and make payment. So, the first step for XAT registration is to visit XAT website.

Step 2: Register for XAT Exam 2026 
Once you are on XAT website, register yourself with contact details like your name, email id, phone number. Read instructions and images below for step-by-step guidance.

Step 2.1 
Enter the required information like your name, email id, phone number and password in XAT registration form. After submitting these details, you will get a message from XAT on your registered email mail id. Open your mail box and verify the link. Immediately after the verification, you will get XAT Id and password. 
 

Step 2.2
Now, you have two options to fill your XAT application: Either login to XAT application page directly from the verification link on your mail; or login later with your XAT ID and password to fill your XAT exam application form.

Step 3: Fill Personal Details 
Next you need to submit your personal details, your parents’ details and your address. Personal details required include your blood group, parent details, address among others. 

Step 4: Fill in Your Academics 
On this XAT registration page you are required to fill up academic details of you from class 10 onwards including professional qualifications. 
 

Step 5: Fill in your Work Experience, and Selected Program Details
On this page you need to fill in following three items of information carefully:

• Your Work Experience beginning with latest work experience
• If you want to apply for XLRI Programme, fill in the choice of programmes, you wish to apply for.
• You can choose one or more programmes offered by XLRI. Note that application fee is Rs. 200 for each XLRI programme.  
• You can choose 2 preferred test cities to appear in XAT exam.

Step 6: Upload Photo, Signature, Documents
Next, you need to upload your photo, signature and identity proof. The photo that you upload should be the latest one as it would be matched at the time of entrance exam.

Step 7: Submit Declaration
Next, you need to confirm that whatever you have stated in the application form is true and correct. So, it is better to preview the application form before confirming. 
 

Step 8: Pay XAT Fees 
This is the final step. XAT Fees is Rs. 2200. If you apply for XLRI program, additional fee of Rs 200 per XLRI programme will be charged.
 

The payment can be made by using Debit Cards, Credit Cards. Once you ‘Make Payment’, you will get confirmation for successful submission. Congratulations, your XAT registration 2026 is complete. Save the confirmation message and take a print of your registration summary for future reference. 

Remember that there is no time bound process to complete the exam registration and application form 2026. They can be completed in one go or on different days before the XAT registration last date 2026.

Please note the following to successfully complete your XAT registration form:

• Carefully enter all the personal details in XAT registration form, no correction is allowed later
• Review all the details you have entered on each page before submitting
• Please upload correct size of scanned images of your photograph & signature
• After you submit the Registration form and make payment, no Editing is allowed, so be careful
• Check that your registration & application form is successfully submitted and you have received a confirmation from XAT Exam Centre after form submission.

Just in case you have made a mistake in the registration form, you can register again with a new email ID. Your XAT application will be considered for the latest registration and the Admit Card will be issued for the same. But note that you will not receive a refund for wrong application form.
