Choose your test cities carefully, because no modification is possible after you click "Save and Finalize" in the online application. These four steps will help:
- Check the official list: select only from the city codes in CEE's list for KMAT 2027, once it is published.
- Rank by travel time: put the city you can reach most easily first, keeping in mind that both 2026 exams were held on a Sunday.
- Use all four choices: fill every choice with a city you can reach, but be prepared for a centre in another city if too few candidates choose yours.
- Review before you finalise: check your city choices along with the rest of the form before final submission.

CEE allots centres on the basis of the cities you choose, but two rules from the KMAT 2026 Information Bulletin and notifications decide the final outcome:
- Minimum number of candidates: if the number of candidates opting for a city is below a certain minimum, CEE may allot a centre in another city, irrespective of the city you chose.
- No change after declaration: CEE does not entertain any request to change the date or centre of the exam once it has been declared.
KMAT Kerala exam day guidelines, to be followed at the exam centre, are as follows:
- Report at the time printed on your admit card, carrying the admit card downloaded from www.cee.kerala.gov.in. A colour printout is preferred, and candidates without an admit card are not allowed to take the exam.
- Carry one original photo ID: Aadhaar card, Voter ID, Driving Licence or PAN card.
- After the reporting time ends, a Mock Test familiarises you with the computer-based format before the actual exam begins.
- Calculators, mobile phones, smart watches and other electronic devices are not allowed, and you cannot leave the centre until the exam ends.
- Parents are not allowed inside the building. Bring your own pen and pencil, and sit only in the seat allotted to you.
